Zephyr's mouth dropped open. Kashtin's brow furrowed. Grown-ups couldn't even remember when they met each other??

Ash watched Raffiel silently, tilting her head slightly to the side. Suddenly she remembered him. He was the male that she had met at the Misty Stream. "Oh... I remember you..."

He wagged his tail. "Yup! Raffiel!" The young wolf grinned stupidly like he did as a pup. "So where did you go? You've been gone SUCH a long time now Ash." Raffiel sat down, his voice and face returning to a serious but curious expression.

Raffiel frowned, but said nothing about it. "Alright, well I'm glad your back!" Then the wolf grinned, got up and shoved her a little. "Got any fancy fighting moves Ash?"

Belle narrowed her eyes and grunted. "Uh huh, right. Let me see what you got." She got down in a fighting crouch and smiled, lightly wagging her tail.

"No way you could have survived on your own without some fancy fighting moves!" Raffiel argued, imitating Belle's stance.

Ash stared at the wolves oddly. Since she lived alone most of her life, she had a hard time understanding others. She didn't understand 'play'.

"Ash its called a play fight. We practice battle moves and fight, but we don't go for the kill or do any serious damage. Come on." Raffiel urged, realizing she didn't understand. "Its fun!"

"Exactly. Its fun to try to be the strongest. And if we dont' practice we won't be any good. So if we were ever attacked how would we be able to defend ourselves?" He questioned, tilting his head for her to get his point. "Its fun and good for the pack."

Bo-Bo growled at the sight of their fighting stances. He stood in front of Raffiel, blocking his path. "No more fighting! Even if it is fake. Please, I don't want anyone else hurt! Erebus is living prof of how even fake fights can get out of hand. All from a stupid rumor!" he begged.

"What?" He questioned, get up to stand level with Bo-Bo. The young wolf's grey pelt bristled. "Its called practice!" Raffiel snarled at him, claws digging into the soft dirt below him.

"It could still be dangerous!" Bo-Bo insisted, putting his ears forward, and raising his tail slightly.

Ash's ears flicked back as she watched them. She didn't really like being around a lot of wolves. "But I'm not in any pack, so if its for the benefit for the pack, then its no benefit to me." She mumbled under her breath.

Belle didn't like Bo-Bo. She stood up. "Bug off Bo-Bo. Everyone needs to practice. And to be honest, what had happened, was NOT a play fight."

"You have no reason to stop us from training you wussy! Why should we listen to a wolf that looks like rainbow vomit?" He snapped at Bo-Bo not hearing Ash at all.

Ash chuckled quietly at his comment, but quickly turned away, not wanting to be a part of this. She started poking at the elk carcass again.

"I'm just trying to prevent mistakes that have already been made, and are best not repeated!" he muttered, doing his best to ignore Raffiel's comments. "Maybe I should just quit, because some people are ignorant." His heart was beating in his ears, and he was holding himself back. He wanted to just kill that damned wolf, Raffiel! He had harmed Erebus! WHY had he not been paying attention to him? He should have known something would happen! Something always happened. Life wasn't fair. It loved to lull you into security, and then strike with disaster. "If I was a hypocrite I would keep up this pointless argument. But I know you won't listen, and it's better if I just walk away." he started walking towards the cave, hoping to cheer himself up by imagining different ways things would work out.

Raffiel's pelt bristled once again but he snorted, letting the rainbow wolf walk away. "I'm going hunting..." He snarled, padded into the surrounding woods.
