Naomie decided to play with her wound. She sat ther and let the blood trickle out of the corner of her mouth. She couldnt help but laugh when she felt woosy.

Valenia returned the same way she had left, only this time she had a stone bowl filled with water. "Earthbender sure can be handy." She said mostly to herself as she walked over with it. "Drink." Valenia said, holding it to her.

"Me?" Gareth laughed. "Oh, no one in particular, actually. Just a lonesome firebender looking for an entertained audience." He looked around at the still-squabbling people. "But I do say, you are a wonderful lady, and that anger, such passion. And your bending skills are odd, too. Metal? Do earthbenders do that? I never knew." Gareth touched one of the metal enclosures that held him in. "Interesting."

"How will I ever make money so we can get supplies??" Rey wondered aloud.They were at the edge of the city now. "I can't just quit my search for my uncle!"

Wiping up her mess, she took a sip. Her green eyes flared with surprise. "What the- theres no salt taste and were in the middle of a sea!"

Johanna tried to stay strong. Was he trying to manipulate her? "Only powerful Earth benders can. Like fire benders and your lighting." She replied.

"... I could become a wandering beggar. Then we could still travel, and maybe get along when kind people helped us. No, no, I couldn't burden people like that. Not with these hard times. Then again, it's always hard times." he groaned, and slapped himself.

Valenia looked at her and then laughed. "You don't do much reading do you?" She chuckled. "This sea is a freshwater sea. Its completely inclosed in the land of the Earth Kingdom." An idea formed in her head. "Don't swallow it yet."

Naomie half glared half frowned at Valenia. She shook her head no. Taking a sip she held it in her mouth.

"Hm. I guess I don't fall under the category of powerful yet, do I?" Gareth tapped his head. "Oh well, now you know who I am: Gareth the impeccably savant." He took a deep bow and looked up. "But do I know you? A name, good lady, if you will, for such beauteous face must not go unnamed, even if I shalt die by your hands.".Gareth straightened.

"Its still unclean." She said, "I only meant for you to spit it out. But if we boil it we can drink it safely." Valenia saw her expression but paid it no mind.

Naomie rolled her eyes. "Tell me bfore i hold the water forever." she joked. "Here," she started to warm her hands making the water boil.

Valenia blushed a bit. "My bad. Sorry." She said, and looked around at the sky. The clouds were darker, and the sun was low. "Looks like rain..."

Naomie started to snap. "Come on, work!" sparks were falling into her other hand. Soon she had a small fire going in her hands.

Valenia frowned, and then looked at Naomie. "Everything alright?" She asked, worry hitting her hard for some reason.

Valenia was very confused and looked at her with a 'what?' face. "Uhm, can't firebenders do that at any moment at any time. Part of how they took over so much of the world before the peace came." She made the stone tent bigger, and then looked at her with confusion. "Because unlike all other elements you can make it. We have to have some present."

"Some of us were born with that ability. I wasnt. i had to learn." she closed her palm. "I had to tech myselff many things. But i cant read." she admitted.

Valenia looked at her and then smiled. "Hey, when we get to a town, I'll buy a book and I can teach you how to read if you want." She offered, taking a liking to the remarkable firebender.

Valenia smiled at the hug, the younger girl was quiet sweet. Maybe she could do more for her then teach her to read. At her question she shrugged. "I've gotten used to cold after Johanna took over. Not many firebenders in the Earth kingdom these days."

"We tend to stay in one place." she replied. "So are there any more Avatars? I never met Aang. Sorry but i cant read so i have no idea what goes on anymore."

Valenia cringed at the mention of Aang. "No, he's not around anymore. He died seventeen years ago. No one knows how. But the cycle continues and there is an avatar out there. Somewhere."

(I just realized I have to kill aang for valenia to acctually exist. O.O I feel like a horrible person.)
