Alex lifted her head, hearing some animals coming. She could sense that they were also shapeshifters and she quickly stood up, hiding behind the tree.

Aubrey stopped and told Jessie to stay there and smelled the fox smell she hated and climbed in a tree and found the girl and jumped on her grabbed her hair in her jaws changed into human and drug her back to the others

Alex complained, "Excuse me!?" She pulled herself away from the girl and quickly picked her bag back up.

Jessie shifted into a human, sitting there in torn clothes. "Ummmm?" She repeated lostfor words.

"Oh no I smelled it. But if that's her form then why bother her?" Jessie said confused. "She wasn't being a fox."

Alex quickly picked up the few things that fell from her bag and said, "The first shape-shifters I've seen in almost five months. This was not how I expected to be treated." She swatted at her clothes to clean the dirt off.

Jessie cleared her throat. "Um, hello sorry if Aubry hurt you. She's got real sharp claws and fangs."

Alex looked at Jessie nicely, "It's fine. I just didn't expect this kind of a greeting." She asked, "What happened to your leg?"

"Wolf attack while scouting. Say, are you new here? I don't remember seeing you around the village before." Jessie said/asked.

Alex shook her head and said, "No I am not from here. If you want I can help you with that. I have a small dose of an ancient pain killer from where I am from." Alex started to dig through her bag again.

Aubrey smiled and climbed a tree and sat there letting her tail hang off the tree.

Alex nodded, "Well, Maybe not ancient. But this pain killer has been used in my old village for many many years. It's very affective." She pulled out a small white bottle and handed it to Jessie. "The pain killer should last for about four days. I'm not sure what the ingredients are, though." She smiled, "By the way, my name is Alex." She looked over at Aubry.

"Jessie." She replied and took the pain killer. Once it was in her system she felt so much better. "WOW!"

"Though, it is much warmer here than it is where I am from. So It might wear off quicker. I'd say maybe it will last for 2 or 3 days." She added.

Alex nodded, "I am from far south. I have my reasons for leaving my life behind and I plan to not go back." After a moment, she added, "All I need now is a place to stay for a few days. She glanced around then added, "But it looks like I'm gonna be sleeping under a tree again.

Jessie shook her head. "I think the alpha wold love to have another good, strong shapeshifter i nthe village. She's kinda mad at me..." She pointed to the large hut in the center ofthe viallge. "Go talk to her. Trust me."

Alex looked toward the house and shrugged, "I'll speak to her eventually, then. Thank you for the information." She looked at Aubry again, still unhappy about the rude greetings.

Aubrey jumped down and changed back held her hand out and "Hi im Aubrey."

Alex looked at Aubrey's hand. She hesitantly reached her hand out to her and shook her hand, "Interesting name. As I already said, I am Alex."
