The 127th regiment commander was facing what was probably would soon become a serious problem, but now she didn't care. His wink set her stomach fluttering and she had to turn away from him to the others in order to stop from forgetting what she'd offered and dragging Leo to some place to spend the evening. Desiree blinked, her face felt cold and she had to think for a very long amount of time. What is wrong with me?

Marie smiled. "Awesome! So when will you introduce me to them?!" she asked excitedly. She was practically jumping up and down she was so excited.

Leo began walking with her. What are you doing Leo?! This could compromise everything you have worked for. You have a good position. But she's... amazing. Leo couldn't figure and sort out his emotions very well right now. He just kinda went with what he was doing, continuing to flirt with his new commander. He snuck a glance at her. She was fit. Beautiful. Stunning. Everything he could describe into words and then some. He put his eyes back on the people in front of him, following them to another restaurant. He smiled a warm smile.

Desiree quickened her pace some, following Jon without looking over at Leo. She just think about him, or her or what she really wished they could be doing. But she had to be nice, had to make up to the wiater for screwing up his job and part of his life. Plus a great time to explain shifters to him. Yes that's it, focus on the kid.

"Is there something wrong?" the former waiter asked Desiree, without glancind back. "Don't worry, I can see the signs. Cold sweat, furrowed brows: you're nervous about something," he presumed, with no idea of the events happening behind him.

"Well, whenever you want, I suppose," Andrew shrugged, watching Marie curiously.

"Well..." she started more nervously, "how about now? I mean we don't have to. It would be nice. But its up to you..." she said, trailing off.

"Well, my sister should be just around the corner if you want to meet her?" Andrew glanced down the street before his eyes returned to Marie. He asked curiously, "Why are you so interested in Shifters, anyway?"

Marie shrugged. "I dunno. They just sound really nice... and accepting..." she added to the end of her statement.

"The village as a whole is accepting. But if you wish, I can take you to see my sister. She knows many more people around here than I do."

Marie smiled wide. "That'd be great!" she said enthusiastically. "Oh, and thank you for being so nice to me. It really means a lot to me." she added on.

Marie smiled back up at him. "So, where did you say she was again?" she asked curiously.

"Just around the corner, is where she should be. Probaby with some kid who she calls Fin," he answered.

Andrew nodded and started heading down the street.

Alex was chasing Fin, laughing, "I'm gonna catch you!" Serafina squeaked and came to a stop, stopping herself from running into the street. Alex caught up and picked up the younger girl by the waist, "Gotcha!" Serafina exploded in a fit of laughter.

Andrew led Marie around the corner, seeing his sister. "Alex!" he shouted.

Marie followed Andrew around the corner. She looked at the two people he had called out to just then. She started shrinking back a bit behind Andrew. She was nervous. Very nervous. Why did I ask him to introduce them to me??? She stayed quiet as she attempted to hide behind Andrew the best she could.

Alex look over, putting down Fin. "What?" As Andrew approached his sister, he said, "This is Marie. She's new to the village." He stepped aside so Alex could see the stranger.

Alex examined Marie, curious. "I'm Alex," She introduced rather quickly.

Marie looked back up at Alex. "My name's Marie. Andrew said you were his sister. And that he would introduce me to you." she said timidly.

Desiree was instantly frozen, trying to figure out what to say in response. "Well there's a lot of things to be nervous about." She near instantly quiped after her initial freeze. "For example the easiest way to explain why we can do these things? The history and creation of the first shifters. Then again I can never really remember these days." Desiree was starting to get off into a ramble, only to catch it to late as it picked up and she was muttering noncoherant sentences at her feet.

She didn't like to think about her past too much. It was painful. "Uh... Another small village. I couldn't really tell you where, how far, or in which direction it is though. I left it about a year ago..."

Leo looked over at Desiree oddly. "Are you sure you're ok?"

"Is there a name for it," Alex questioned. She watched the strange girl skeptically.

Marie sighed, looking down. She really didn't want to say, but what choice did she have? "It's called Janice. It's a small town. I don't know if you have heard of it or not..." she said trailing off.
