Raffiel started walking again, but not before smiling at Belle thankfully. His heart was heavy until the trail led them past the portion of the stream that still had a small smell of blood.

Bo-Bo inhaled deeply, trying to re-find the trail. He smelled something else instead. Something he remembered from his past. His old pack... The chase. There had been this smell. The smell of blood. The smell that used to make him sick to his stomach. The reason he didn't know how to hunt. The reason he ate only plants during his puphood. "Why does it smell like blood?" he asked, wrinkling his nose.

Belle stopped and sniffed the air as well. "I smell it too..."

Raffiel froze, shuffling his paws. "Perhaps a bloody elk hunt? I've been in some of those..." He murmured the second. "Or a territory battle?" He added.

"It is definitely wolf. And there only seems to be one hurt or dead." Belle said sniffing the air.

Bo-Bo frowned as he thought. "This could be a problem... Ruin us..." he mumbled.

Raffiel's fur went on edge. Why don't you want them to know? He questioned himself. Because Bo-Bo is here. And he's working with Erebus in some way.

Belle's senses were still on edge and therefore heard what Bo-Bo had said. "Why would this RUIN you or anyone else? Or maybe I should ask who else." she said now untrusting.

"IT COULD RUIN OUR HUNT! And if we don't hunt, the FOOD will run out for the pack. AND THEN THE PACK WILL STARVE. And if that happens, spirits help us..." he said, as if this should have been clearly obvious.

"Sorry, I was just saying... If it was a fight or something. And trouble tends to hang around... I dunno I'm new to this. Far as I know this is normal for a hunting party." he mumbled grumpily.

"NO!" Raffiel suddenly said, fear pouring off him. "No we can't. The hunt is more important. Khora has pups. Ayallila has pups. And Erebus is wounded. But we can come back and check it later."

Belle turned to him quickly and narrowed her eyes, as if studying him. "Very well. You and I will come back out here to check it out... alone." She added extra emphasis on the "alone."

The scent diverged to the right, and grew stronger. "We're close." He said in a hushed tone. Then the sounds of hooves came over the hill ahead.

Raffiel waited a few seconds and then took off, signaling for them to follow. He dashed at the first bull he spotted, going around to the head to keep it from sprinting away.

Bo-Bo was completely unprepared. He ran after Raffiel, and stood behind the bull. "I'll get this end?" he barked.

It reared up, calling out a warning to the other Elk that had already sprinted off. Leaving their bull to its demise. Raffiel snarled, nipping at its neck which was to high for him to reach.

Belle sprinted off to the left side of the bull. She also started nipping at the bull's neck however she did something probably totally unexpected to the other two. She ran AHEAD of the bull. At once she was about 5 meters in front of the bull, she turned and leapt at the same time, latching her fangs into its neck and pulling it to the ground.
