Onyx shook her head to clear her thoughts, and she saw two large dragons fighting. One of them had attacked her and Duanne! The other had attacked daddy! She frowned, and huffed angrily. "BOO!" she roared, surprisingly loud for such a young dragon, and the earth began to sink beneath the two dragons.

Duanne and Amicheahika looked around in surprise as the earth began to shake. "WHAT THE SHADOWS HAPPENED? EARTHQUAKES DON'T JUST SUDDENLY START!"
Amicheahika shook his head at Duanne's words. "They do if something makes the ground shake!"

Bast took flight quickly when he saw the ground under him giving out.

Onyx grumbled as Bast tried to fly away "NO MEAN ESCAPE!" she shot a few chunks of rock at him, but quite a few were very far off.

Dominic let out a snarl of shock, jumping over rocks climbing them to take flight far away from the ground. And to think he had gone down their for an advantage. Fire trickled from his throat as he recognized the little dragon below. Blast it, Aken's little dragon.... He internally snarled before taking flight back to the volcano.

Bast fled in a hurry back to his forest. This wasn't going to work if the baby dragon was tossing rock at him the whole time.

Onyx sat down, and chuffed angrily. They had gone away! "I WANA FLY! I WANNA PROTECT! WHY! CAN'T! I! GROW! FASTER!?" she wails, and starts to cry.
Duanne stares at her. "Crybaby... Dragons grow up pretty fast already. You'll be able to fly ad all that in just a few months at the least. Now come on, lets go home..." he pads off, and Onyx follows slowly behind.

Dominic landed on the Volcano, and with a billow of fire, turned to Aken. "Keep that little squirt under control! She nearly got me killed!" He snarled, claws digging into the hard ground with rage. His red eyes narrowed at the little dragon. "I'm fairly certain I told her I was on your side. Keep her in check or she'll never fly."

Onyx's stomach rumbles with hunger just before they leave. "HUNGRY!"
Duanne growls. "Fine, eat the animals I killed! Hurry up!"

Aken grinned mockingly as his eyes danced with amusement. "You mean to say that a hatchling almost killed you? Wow. I guess you're not as good as I thought."

Dominic's scales burned with rage. "No, but I will admit she took me off-guard. BAST nearly killed me because of it. And what's she doing attacking me anyways!?" He glowered at the two.

Onyx finished and fell asleep at the base of the volcano. Duanne sighed gratefully. "Thank you for her finally sleeping!"

"Don't ask me. That was her choice to attack you. There must've been a reason. Maybe she was bored." Aken found this quite amusing.

Duanne began to carry Onyx up the volcano as best he could, which wasn't easy for him.

Aken looked down the volcano at Duanne who was bringing Onyx.

Duanne finally reached the top with a sleeping Onyx on his back.

Aken reached over and picked up the young Onyx, setting her down on the volcano next to his large clawed feet.

Aken sat down, watching Onyx. Even though she wasn't actually his, he felt like she was and would protect her the same way a father would protect his young.
Bast finished the rest of the border and headed back toward Leilani.

Leilani's body lay where it had fallen. Cold like ice, and unmoving. Breath did not escape from her chest, and only the trickle of water filled the cave. The crystal she had been playing with when Bast had taken flight on his patrol lay next to her. Its glow almost chilling.

Dominic snarled and took flight. "Keep those hatchlings under control!" He demanded before swooping down the volcano to hunt.

Bast got back to the cave and saw Leilani. His heart stopped as he saw she was unmoving. He rushed over.

Aken rolled his eyes.

Dominic growled to himself as he flew, muttering curses at anything he could direct his rage at. He spat fire at a river, knowing it wouldn't cause any damage. But a few tendrils of his flame licked the bushes clustered close to the banks of the gravely river. They burst into flames and Dominic watched as the orange heat devoured the plants until they spread to the larger trees. He couldn't let it burn the whole woods, he needed to hunt. So the angry dragon swooped down and with a crack of his tail the fire was put out. He was angry.

Leilanl was still where she lay, no response made at Bast's arrival.
