Duanne stopped laughing and guffawed. "EXCUSE ME BUT I AM NOT A FRINKING HATCHLING!! I MAY BE SMALL BUT I AM NOT YOUNG! I COULD.DO THINGS WOTH MY SHADOWS THAT NOT EVEN-" Then he collapsed. Onyx grinned and threw a few more rocks at him.
"Heha! Loud-mouth! Rawr!"

Aken chuckled, "Good job, Onyx."
Bast looked horrified, "Leilani!" He knelt down by her, unsure what to do from the shock that took over. He nudged her with his nose, hoping for a sign that she was ok - was alive.

Leilani let out a small moan at the touch, her body still hurting. Her eyes kept shut though, tail twitching in pain. The crystal started to glow slightly, its weird warmth off of it radiating to her scales.

Age: ???
Looks: It appears differently in accordance to its wishes. It's most used forms are a black ridged-snout dragon with golden eyes. It also uses a human form, a young bespectacled girl with long, black hair. Her eyes are also golden.
Personality: A deceiving compulsive liar, it will do whatever it needs to turn things its way. Is it telling the truth? Is it lying? You can take the risk.
Powers?: As mentioned, shapeshifting, though it's limited to dragons and humans. It uses black magic projectiles, which are meant to strike as blunt weapons or sharp spears. At dragon form, it uses a larger-scale version of said magic, which is summoned from her mouth.
Minions?: An army of goblins and a swordsman by the name of Verge, who is highly overprotective of Query.
Other: Seeing how Verge responds to Query, it might just be a 'she'. It doesn't like it when Verge refers to Query as one though.

Dominic growled angrily at the dry, brittle skeleton branches from the burned bushes. He swept his tail quickly through the air, sending out another shockwave that shook the earth around him. While he simply flapped his wings there, hovering midair, he spotted a doe sprinting away in the forest. Hunger alone made the dragon take off after it, snatching it up in a single swoop.

"Alright, guys! What's the next plan?" Query scrutinized the dragon that had just snatched the doe away.
"You turn into a larger dragon and kill it?" One goblin suggested. The makeshift helmet, created from a boiling pot, didn't help improve its already hilarious features. Short, olive green, and basically a walking talking prey, it was funny to keep them around to see them being skewered by dragons and humans alike. Query chuckled to itself, remembering the time it sent one on an adventure to a human city. It was killed not long after. And it was pretty funny. Not as funny as Query destroying the city right after as a legit retaliation to what Query argued as an "act of war towards the goblin populace" and Query was just "acting as their legal aide". It didn't help that Query wrecked the court right after, as a human, no less.

The goblin gave Query a look at her laugh. "Uh, ma'am, sir, or whatever you are. Why are you laughing?"
"Oh, nothing. Just that you are so delightfully stupid." Query shrugged, grinning.
"Uh."
"Of course we track it down and find it's treasure and stuff, steal that shit and waltz back home, you sack of walking idiocy!" Query yelled. "I mean, how hard can it get? It's an open-shut case, moron!"
Verge scratched his head behind Query, and exchanged looks with another goblin, a red-colored one with a makeshift breast plate. Both of them shrugged.

Query burst out from the foliage, still in its human form. "Let's go! Adventure! Awaits us! Chaaaaaaaaaaarge!" It ran after the dragon which had just departed. The two goblins and Verge ran after her.

A spark of hope rushed through him when he saw her move. "Leilani? Can you hear me?"
Aken looked around boredly.

"By the fires does my head hurt..." The moan came from Leilani as she opened her deep amber eyes, turning her neck to see him. "What... happened Bast?" She croaked, her throat felt dry and itchy. Thoughts swam in her head and she couldn't stop them from overflowing into the telepathic link she shared with her mate.

Dominic scented the air before deciding it was time he returned to the volcano. But halfway there he swooped down for another doe, finding the prey abnormally easy to catch. It was almost as if something on the ground was scaring them out of the trees and right into his claws. He flapped back high into the sky and then turned towards the volcano.

Bast carefully moved himself down so he was laying by her. His head and neck were turned toward the entrance of the cave as he watched the sky, as if keeping guard.

Bast's tense manner made it hard for her to sleep. So she raised her head and nuzzled him lightly. "What's wrong? Something big is up."

She looked at him, and then forced herself to believe him. "Ok, get some sleep yourself though ok." Leilani said before ducking her head to sleep.

Bast lay his head back down carefully and rested his eyes back up at the sky. It was almost twilight, so some stars were starting to be seen.

Dominic landed with a heavy thud, claws digging into the volcano's side as he fought for a grip. The ground was slick for some reason, making it harder to get a proper footing. But once he had made his way to the little stretch of flat ground he dropped the two does and called out for Aken.

Aken lifted his head out from under his wing and complained to himself, "What now?" He got up and headed toward Dominic, "What?"
