"Bo-Bo, get away from that pup." Erebus growled, "How can you treat a creature so proud and full of potential as if it were a hare? As if it were soft and in need of help?" He said, taking a step forward and lightly shoving the rainbow pelted wolf to the side. "Windrunner is a strong name, be proud to bear it." Erebus nodded, eyes keenly watching the pup's every reaction.

Windrunner jumps back from both of them almost falling over his injured paw and bares his teeth with a snarl growling a warning hoping they will both back off.

Erebus's chest burst into laughter at the pup's attempts to ward them off. "Windrunner, you are brave. But you are also being foolish." His tone darkened as he spoke, a menaching look etching into his eyes. "But a wolf like me, against a pup like you..." His fangs were bared as his head lowered to glare directly into his little amber eyes. "Well... It wouldn't end well for the smaller of us now would it?"

Bo-Bo landed roughly on his side when Erebus pushed him. He made a face out of the other adult's sight, and got back up.

Windrunner growls slightly before lifting his nose to the air and catching the scents of the area, he growls low as he tries to face a familiar scent but the fox has already lunged out of the bushes and has sank it's teeth into his already injured leg.

Erebus let out a snarl and lunged at the red fox that was latched onto Windrunner's injured leg. His massive fangs and the power behind it instantly killed the fox. He lifted his muzzle, the fox coming along with it in his death grip, and hurled it to the side of the are they were in. Erebus felt his pelt prickle with worry, the pup was probably rather injured and wouldn't be able to get very far in any direction like that. Worry rising, Erebus gently lifted Windrunner in his mouth by the scruff. The pup, though not all to young, wasn't much heavier than lifting a small log to Erebus. "Take the elk home. I'll be at the den." Erebus said, mouth muffled through fur, and he began to sprint to the den for Khora's aid.

Windrunner struggles and fights trying to break free of the larger wolf's grasp "Let me go!" He angles his head to try and bite Erebus. In the process of this his injured paw hits an object Erebus runs by.

"Quit struggling, I'm trying to help you!" He growled at the pup as he ran along, a menacing look in his eyes even though the pup couldn't see them. "I'm taking you somewhere someone can help you." The black wolf easily maneuvered through the trees and shrubbery that came up in his path on the way home.

Windrunner continues trying to bite Erebus and continues struggling in the wolf's mouth, the pain in his paw is killing him and he just wants to go and find a quiet place to curl up and let the pain wear off, "Just got off of me." Tries to bite Erebus again before getting an idea and hanging limply as if dead.

Bo-Bo grumbles "When'd you become such a hero?" and takes a firm hold of the corpse's neck, slowly dragging it in the general direction of the den.

Erebus returned to the area he'd found Windrunner and sniffed around for any prey scents. He could already spot the trail Bo-Bo had made dragging the elk back when they found him.

Cheyenne followed suit, going back and forth between sniffing the air and sniffing the ground. "It seems like there are lots of small game around here." she pointed out silently to Erebus. "What are we gonna be hunting for? Big kill, or mass amount of small game?"

After a pause to think, Erebus lifted his muzzle and howled loudly. The howl scattered perhaps fifteen rabbits, vole and other small game. Erebus quickly pounced on two nearby hares and quickly killed them.

Cheyenne smirked and pounced a rabbit, snapping it's neck. She quickly ran after another one, catching it just in time and snapping it's neck. Turning to Erebus, she sat and smiled at him. "I like your style." she said, giggling slightly.

Erebus smirked. "I'm impressed you managed to catch them. You had as much warning as them." He praised, a quail had been added to his pile as well as another rabbit.

Cheyenne shrugged. "Not so hard when you have speed and already know their locations." she said simply. "However, a heads up would have been nice. I could have easily gotten just as many as you or more if I did." she said, sticking her tongue out playfully. "But oh well. That was fun anyways." she added, smiling at Erebus.

Erebus took hat as a challenge and lifted his head once gain to hold even louder. Instead of chasing the prey as they scattered all Lund them, he simply sat and watched Cheyenne.

Cheyenne shook her head at Erebus and took off after the animals. In that round, she had managed to get four more rabbits. "You realize that it would be easier to do this if you gave me warning, right?" she asked jokingly, now panting.

"That's the whole point. Why make it easy?" He teased with a smug look upon his black face. "Besides, you should have been expecting that one." He lamented playfully. What has gotten into me? He thought with horror.

Cheyenne smirked, noticing that he had distracted himself temporarily. She sat down and let out a ringing, high-pitched howl. Prey scattered once again, but it was Cheyenne that was sitting and watching Erebus expectantly this time.

Cheyenne's actions weren't expected, she was young still making her predictable in some of her choices. This one, was like a white wolf in the middle of the night. He had been waiting for her to do it, and the moment the howl was sung he pounced on the first thing he saw move, a plump hare. He killed it, threw it back to his pile and stomped on two rabbits that were trying to make it for the taller bushes a bit away from him. With the three more freshly killed prey on his pile, Erebus twisted and snapped his fangs down on a snake that had tried to get around behind him. With a slightly cocky expression he lifted the snake and dropped it in front of Cheyenne.

Cheyenne smiled at him. "Nice job there, but I'm not really hungry right now. I'd say we should gather up the pup's little container, gather up our food, and go." she said, sticking her tongue out at him.

Erebus shrugged, the playfulness gone from him and he began to sniff around until he found the log. Following the pup's instructions he began to investigate it until he found a small container like thing. "I think this is it." He said.

Cheyenne shrugged. "Works for me." she said, simply. She gave it a quick sniff before turning around and starting to pick up all of the small animals she had killed.

Erebus held the container gently in his mouth, and slung the snake over his back. He draped two hares this way as well and soon had all the prey he'd caught plus the container. "I wonder what is in this thing." The black wolf said, but it came out more as an incomprehendable statement.
