Athens rolled, hitting dirt and stone and tree all the like once again. She growled as she rose, splotches filling her vision. A hit to the head... She thought as a throbbing began along her left temple. "Defense protocol seven dash one initiated. Begining regeneration." A female, sythesized voice said within her helmet, and instantly the pain dulled, the throbbing stopped. God I love this suit. She thought, rising to her feet. Athens calmed down a bit, her destroyed panther was begining its own regeneration protocol, but it would take hours to fix itself along given the damage dealt. "Technomage, or mage. You still use magic." The Technician leader snarled, dashing forward and swooping Petra's feet out from under her.

Petra hit the ground with a thump. She created a ball of blue fire, not holding back this time and launched it straight into Athens' chest. Athens flew up and back, into a tree, falling to the ground. "Why is it that you hold so bad of a grudge against magic users?" Petra questioned.

Athens got up, snarling with frustration. "You don't have the right to know!" Athens retorted, and then ran forward at Petra again. She ducked to the side, feigning an attack to the left and then quickly twirled, and ran a long blade down Petra's right flank. She turned, and jabbed the blade at Petra's back. At the same time though, she sent out a signal from her wrist gauntlet. Another mech was powering up in the building not far from the woods. A smaller, wolf shaped one. Its red optics turned on, the restraints it had unclasped. It let out a ear-breaking howl and dashed out towards the woods.

Petra jumped left, the sword barely cutting her right arm open. She heard the mechanical howl. "Damn." she mumbled under her breath. Then to prevent further attack, she performed an extremely powerful defensive move. She created the hottest fire she could and mixed it with the ground around her, creating a large circle around the two of them. Then she rose the heated earth, creating a thick wall of lava-like substance. If anything were to try to enter it, it would burn of melt immediately. She quickly ran around the right side of the circle, knife in hand. She lit the knife on fire with a solid blue flame. She jumped left, over Athens, usin the fire to propell her, she threw the knife at Athens, aimin for her unprotected thighs. Petra landed rolling and stopping next to her wall of "lava."

Pantera was almost through the woods separating her from Athens and her sister. But, all of a sudden, she heard a sharp, mechanical howl. "That can't be good," she said worriedly. She sprinted off, heading for the fight.

Sam's eyes widened and she sprinted off toward the sounds, following Pantera.

Athens dodged, jumping up and staring at the fire around them. She swore violently, the tech suit trying to work a way out of the trapping flames. She landed on the ground, and then with a simply command. She overpowered the shielding, leg strength and heat resistors, all other power was diverted to the backdrive systems, and Athens jumped up, the heat was tremendous and instantly she broke into a sweat. But she had just managed to jump high enough, grappling at a hanging branch and pulling herself up, Athens escaped the fire.

Kendel returned back to the fighting. Drawing an arrow he shot it at Athens seeing it stick to her armor, he sent a bolt of lighting through it. Sparks flew from the armor.

Athens screamed in pain, falling from the branch and landing in a pool of water nearby. She coughed, sputtering as the water seeped into the helmet. Rising, she removed her helmet and shook her head. She sent out the alarm again, calling for her guard. Why can't I kill them already!? She thought with frustration, spitting out blood and water. Quickly, she slid the helmet back on.

Kendel Loaded another arrow onto the draw string. Releasing it. it suck between the armor and helmet.

Athens grew still, a scream suppressed as the pain of making a sound was to great. "Regeneration protocol initiated" The synthesized voice of her suit AI said, and near instantly the pain faded. Athens ripped the arrow out, hissing in pain. She glowered at Kendel, the sounds of her guard filled the forest and then they stormed the area. The mech wolf was at the head, and ran to Athens.

Kendel gave up. He set his bow down, took the quiver off and put his hands up. His blue eyes stared directly into Athens'. An evil grin over his face was soon replaced by stone as guards crashed through the bushes.

Pantera ran up to the fight. She immediately recognized Athens. She then saw a large circular wall of lava. "She's gotten good." Pantera said aloud. She then focused her attention on Athens. She started walking up to her. "Athens, please stop this useless fighting."

Petra let the wall of lava fall at the sound of her sister's voice. She looked at her sister and Sam in shock. "What are you two doing here?!?!?"

Sjips got home, and pushed the button, then opened his door. A rush of air filled his nose. It was the smell of burning meat.

"Well, Miss Good, think you can keep her from killing us all?" Petra asked half sarcastic and half serious.

"Come on Athens." Pantera continued. "If anything, fight me not them. They shouldn't have to go through this for a grudge you hold against me."

Sjips put down the bucket full of water, and grabbed his tongs off of the table, and picked up the burnt turkey. He put it on the platter he had prepared, and started cutting off the burnt parts. "Maybe some of it's still edible..."
"No, sir."
"Didn't I tell you to shut up?" he grumbled at the head.

He managed to find a few scraps of meat that were well-cooked but not burnt. "See! I knew there'd be some!"

"That happened last. Of course, she tried to kill me at first, then I used the stuff from the vial and got her to trust me. It wasn't difficult."
