"Thanks." Echo got serious again. "But that is why I want you to stay. I want you to be around for the birth of my pups. Plus..." Echo trailed off.

"Well, I don't know if you know this term or not, but I would like you to be the godmother of my pups. And since Belle trusts Raffiel so much, I was thinking he could be the godfather." Echo looked up with hope evident in his eyes.

A large grin grew across Lunar's face. "I'd love to! I don't know about Raffiel, though. You'd have to talk to him about it. But I would love to."

Echo held a straight face once again. He nodded in understanding. He pulled her in close for another hug, this one of goodbye. "Stay safe." he whispered in her ear.

"If anyone asks you specifically, just tell them I had something I needed to take care of," she suggested. "But if it comes down to that, don't lie. I don't want the pack to not trust you."

Blaze crouched low into the underbrush, letting the grass under his paws brush against his belly. A fox was crouching just ahead scouting out a rabbit hole. It wasn't really the meat Blaze was after. The fox posed a threat to his pups and he couldn't allow any threats to stay. His blue eyes took in every move the fox made as he willed it to travel closer to the hunter in waiting. He had been doing this for awhile. Not specifically hunting the fox, more like taking out things that would threaten any member of the pack. While doing this he had managed to hardly visit the den sites at all. For the past couple of weeks he had hunted for himself and slept out in the open whenever he was tired. He didn't know why but he felt the nagging feeling that it was his responsibility to protect the pack. The constant work tired him and made him feel out of character but never the less he went on. Blaze refocused and took a step forward sniffing cautiously at some underbrush. Blaze tensed his muscles and readied to pounce. Just as he was about to attack a twig snapped and the fox darted, disappearing into the landscape.

"DAMMIT" He crawled out of his hiding spot and peered into the surrounding trees. There seemed to be nothing suspicious. He sighed and turned his back on the trees. "Back to squa- Ooof" He was cut off as a body slammed into his and pinned him down. "WHAT THE...." Eyes that gleamed like flames peered at him. Phoenix growled and held the struggling Blaze down. "What are you doing in my forest?" He said making sure that Blaze couldn't do anything. Blaze stammered and tisked, "Your forest? You can't be serious?" Phoenix growled again, "I am serious, so what are you doing?" His words got spit out like flames. Blaze struggled to get the upper hand, "First of all.... this is the Golden Bloods territory, I can take you to them if you like." He examined the jet black wolf closer, "Second of all do you even know what your doing?" Phoenix glared at him and let up, taking a step back. With his eyes locked on the white and red male he spoke up again, "I haven't seen any pack..." Blaze jumped to his feet as Phoenix's grip loosened. "You haven't, eh? Well you'll see them real soon." He took a step forward, "When their deciding your fate." In a quick move he tripped Phoenix and pinned him. Phoenix growled and tensed as he saw it coming. He struggled but Blaze was bigger. "Get up." Blaze stepped off of him. "Your going to meet some new friends." He nudged Phoenix forward heading towards camp. Phoenix sighed and started to walk, it wasn't like he had anything else to be doing.... Blaze continued to nudge him forward. With one eye always on the stranger he continued towards the Golden Bloods camp.

Raffiel was a few moments behind Cresent, "You've got something?" He asked, sniffing around. Lunar's scent was stale, very stale, but it was still there. "Anything idea where she went from here?" The question was asked as the wolf began nosing around, trying to pick up more of her scent, and hopefully a stronger bit.

"It kind of stops here..." he sniffed again. "I think... Maybe she crossed the stream? Water doesn't hold scents, after all."

Raffiel agreed with a nod, "Yeah that's true." He focused a bit of strength in his hind legs and then leaped across the stream. Near instantly he picked up a bit of her scent, old and hardly there, but there. "I got something!" He barked with excitement, tail wagging happily.

"Cool!" Crecent said, and jumped across as well. He wasn't very good at jumping, and ended up in the shallows at the other side, splashing Raffiel. "Sorry" he said, though he was obviously not very sorry due to his big impish grin.
