Re: Misty Stream

Lunar ran up to the misty stream and jumped into the water. She desperately wanted to take a bath to get all this dried mud off of her.

Raffiel jumped into the water after her. "I said to wait up!" He laughed and flicked water at her.

Lunar laughed. She didn't know he was following. She quickly pounced over to him and said, "I didn't know you were following me." Lunar licked his neck then splashed him with the water and quickly swam away from Raffiel, laughing.

Raffiel growled playfully and followed her in the water. "You can't get away!" He laughed and jumped onto a few rocks on the riverbed, he then followed her faster on land.

Lunar giggled quietly then climbed out on one of the sides, seeing Raffiel getting closer. She yelped and started running.

Raffiel laughed and pounced on her. He growled playfully, having missed her by only an inch. He snapped at her back leg and then chased her.

Lunar yelped again then suddenly turned around, growling playfully and rammed herself into him. She pushed Raffiel over quickly and pinned him and growled playfully, "Gotcha."

"Not for long!" Raffiel laughed, pushing her off him and jumping into the cool water. He laughed, very loudly.

Lunar smiled and jumped in after him, "'ll get you again!"

He splashed it up at her and swam as fast as he good. Halfway from the riverbed. Suddenly he heard an increase in the flow of the water, it picked up speed and began to froth. "RAPIDS!?" He gasped and swam to the riverbed. He then gazed at was was actually a foot drop. "Oh..." He mummbled embarressed.

Lunar giggled and gave up on trying to catch him. The mud stuck in her fur was starting to irritate her skin so she sat down in the shallow water and started grooming herself to try and get the dirt off.

Raffiel padded over to her, licked behind her ears and then picked up an odly shaped rock, with multiple branches of the stone coming off. (Its a stone comb!) He then pulled it through her fur.

Lunar winced at the strange feeling of the stone and looked at him, "What are you doing?"

"Combing out the mud and twigs." He replied, his voice muffeled.

Lunar smiled and licked his muzzle affectionately, "Thanks." She started licking her forearms and chest, cleaning herself off more.

His tail instantly became a flurry of wagging. He pulled back his ears and worked fast, but carefully.

Once she was all cleaned up, she smiled and nipped at his paw playfully.

Raffiel dropped the odd stone and then looked at her, his mouth gaping. "You look.... Amazing..." He whispered, his green eyes wide.

Lunar laughed and replied, "Well, you don't look too bad yourself." She wagged her tail and licked his muzzle.

He blushed, his ears pulling back again. "Oh.... thanks..." He looked down, at the cool, calm water. "Someday..." He whispered to himself.

Lunar grinned and quickly pulled him into the water.

Raffiel gasped for air. "WHA--!" He was cut off by water flowing into his mouth faster then he could bark. He trashed his legs a few times, before he gave in and floated there.

Lunar flicked her ears back and asked, "Are you ok?" She then teased a little, "Do you hate the water or something?"

He got up, shaking droplets from his head. "No, but I hate when I feel like I'm drowning." He said with a flat face.
