Bast watched her carefully, trying to think of a time when he could control it. I don't remember ever being able to control it.. If you can teach me, I'm willing to learn.

She took a moment, then tried to press her times of fighting down her blue side. The side of her that made her turn into a demonic fighting dragonness. This might feel weird at first... Her voice warned in his head. With some concentration she sent over the emotions she felt before she would lose control, and then what she thought and felt as she took control.

Bast relaxed and closed his eyes. He could feel the energy moving through his body. It was so, relaxing...
Then with his unnatural hearing, he heard the small snap of a tree limb and the faint sound of unfamiliar wings far in the distance. His eyes shot open and he took off after the sound, leaving Leilani behind. He tore through the sky in an angry feast to catch this intruder. Not in my forest! How dare you intrude into MY forest! The thoughts weren't for Leilani to hear, but he had forgotten about it. He saw a bright orange dragon flying close to the ground, moving from side to side to avoid trees. You little vermin! This dragon was a young dragon, probably in its early teens and it was already half the size of Bast. He looked up and saw the beastly dragon speeding after him. Bast shot a lightning bolt from deep in his throat, and made it strike the young dragon in one of his wings. The young dragon lost control and slammed into the ground, the rock and mud tearing out of the ground as his body slid to a hault.

At the sudden rush Lelani's amber eyes rushed open, and she watched him take off. At his thoughts though panic rushed through her body and Leilani unflurreled her wings and took off after him. BAST! NO! DON'T HURT HIM! She cried out to him, trying desperately to catch up.

Bast landed over the young orange dragon. He laid there motionless for a few moments before looking up slowly. He saw the beastly dragon whom he was warned about, but the young dragon thought it was just nonsense. Bast grabbed his neck tightly and as he slowly moved the young male's head closer to his, he thought What shall I do to you? You've came into my land, broken a tree, and tore up the Earth it lay under. Not only that, you have now shown yourself as a threat and caused danger to my family! At the last few thoughts, sparks began to appear from his jaws as he was just getting angrier and angrier. The young dragon tried to pull away, but he wasn't as strong at Bast.

Leilani finally caught up and quickly landed next to them. She placed her short snout next to his and tried to calm him down the best she could. "Bast, please Bast don't harm him. He didn't know. Please! Don't kill him Bast, here let him go tell others and warn but DON'T kill him. Please..." She begged and pleaded, both externally and telepathicly. She's found that she's more convincing that way. With desperation she placed a clawed hand on his left shoulder. "This is a chance to show control-and that's what we want right-control?" She focused her amber gaze on him.

Bast grip softed around the young dragons neck when Leilani touched his shoulder. He barely heard what she had said, from the anger pulsing through him. But he had heard enough to know what she had asked for. The young dragon didn't move, for fear of being harmed. Bast glanced at Leilani, seeing her big amber eyes. He now glared at the orange dragon and tightened his grip. Bast lowered his head to the dragon's ear and growled, "Leave. You tell everyone you come in contact with who I am and that if they intrude into my forest, ever, they will die. And I will find you..." The young dragon froze, motionless. A light green haze slightly floated from Bast's breath. As the gas was sucked in through the young dragons nose, it began to burn his insides and he suddenly cried out in pain. It felt like he was boiling from the inside out. It wasn't enough to kill the young boy, just enough to give him a good scare. Bast let go of his neck, and the young dragon stumbled trying to get away.

Leilani felt pride shimmer in her heart. She tried to convey the emotions to him but then changed her mind. Instead she decided something physical would be better, besides emotional expression was far more intimate. She nuzzled his head lightly and then pulled back in embarressment. So she might not seem inappropiate she added. "That was very well handled. I'm proud you're taking control so quickly."

The young orange dragon took off running, his wing now damaged. Bast looked at Leilani with concern. The only reason he made himself stop was because he didn't want to kill a dragon right in front of her. What would she have thought of him then? He had a look of regret on his face. Bast's stomach was tight and his thoughts were confused. The only thing he was clear on was that he just let that dragon go. A dragon who could so easily come back and hurt his forest, or hurt his "daughter". He tried to search his head for something to say, but he couldn't mix his thoughts together to think straight enough to be able to get a full sentence out.

Leilani's smile faded as she saw his regret and confusion. Her amber eyes glazed over and she looked down. "Bast, you know its well.... What if by letting him go you've just protected this forest and those you allow to dwell in it. After all he was young, meaning he most likely lived in a group of large dragons or with his family still. Killing him could have brought them to you and angry dragons like to do bad things, like try to kill you or the forest." She tried to make it convincing and lifted his chin with her right hand. "Bast.."

Bast watched her eyes. Then a few moments after she said his name, he nodded, "Your right.." He didn't really agree with what she had said, but if it might put her at ease, he would try to see it that way.

Leilani smiled slightly. She knew he didn't fully believe her but let it go. "Hey, you know what. Either way you controlled your anger. Isn't that what we were looking for?" She tried to calm him. "Hey! Would it help if I told you your future. I do see when dange is coming."

Leilani looked around and found a small pool of water nearby. She stired it, froze it over and then her eyes faded to a pale icy white color. Her jaw tightened, and then she pulled back. A wide smile crossed her face. "I saw no danger..." She informed him with a michivious tone as she strode over. "In fact I saw something else..." Her amber eyes twinkled as she let him have to wonder what it was.

Leilani wanted to make him guess, she quickly put up mental barriers to keep him from snooping around in her mind. She flicked her narrow tipped tail onto his and then jumped back. She was litterally playing with him. Her eyes gleamed something, and then she got into a bit of a 'try me' position, her shoulders squared and her head lowered. She was challanging him to a battle.

Bast chuckled, "So I don't get to know?" He lowered himself slightly, as if he was about to get ready to fight her. His tail flicked to one side, then sharply to the other as he situated himself.

She nudged her head forward, a low playful growl coming from her. "Beat me and you will..." Her voice revealed nothing and then she began to circle him. "Hold back just enough to not kill me alright." She added for afe measure and then charged at him, jumped into the air and dove down with a fierce roar.

Bast moved out of the way and swiftly spun around, shooting himself into the air to get out of reach from her. If he wanted to win, first he needed to see how she handled things.

Leilani landed softly, using her padded feet to quickly spin around and take flight. She took a few swift and power flaps of her wings and then landed her mouth on his right shoulder, she kept her fangs from digging to deep, but there was just enough pressure. She brought up her right foreleg and pushed it against his chin to keep him from snapping down at her.

Bast twisted his long body and with his tail, he moved it between them and pushed her off forcefully. Just as this happened, his body curled down and he slammed himself into her to make her off ballance.

Leilani growled with glee, it was rather fun to her, and then quickly recovered from the slam. Kicking him back with a powerful force she managed to get a bit of space between the two. And then she charged again, ice shooting from her mouth in a wild flurry as she closed the gap between them.

As soon as Bast saw the ice, an electric bolt of lightning shot from his throat and shatters it as he flew higher to dodge the attack. Then he swooped down and grabbed hold of her tail with one of the unnaturally large claws, not breaking the skin though.

Leilani growled with frustration, but the good kind. She didn't want to tell him what she had seen just yet. So she twisted and broke free from his claw, but felt her strength deminishing. She couldn't pass over into the dark temptation of her blue side, it WOULD or COULD kill Bast, not somethign she wanted what so ever. So she flapped there, tired and thinking for a moment.

Bast pushed at her with his tail as a distraction. He turned the other way and flew down toward the trees, He had an idea. He could do what he did best and not loose the fight. Fighting Leilani isn't something he looks forward to doing, so this plan would make it so HE wouldn't technically be fighting. But he still wouldn't loose and might have a chance of winning.
