Horror and frustration filled Leilani, paralyzing her where she stood, rooted to the ground. She couldn't leave Bast, but she couldn't fight the intruder in her state as well. The swimming in her head hadn't stopped yet, not to mention she had felt a slow by constant loss of her control over her other side. Wait, that's it! The thought raced in her head. Let the dark take over and fight. If it can beat Aken with such ease, it can at least put up a fight to this stranger. Her eyes darted around the cave, it was small and tight. The stranger in such a large shape would soon find it difficult to maneuver. Bast we can fight this intruder together, trust me! Leilani sent out to him, having not heard his plea for her to flee. The cave's too small for it in that form, it'll be forced to change into something small soon enough. Remember how I took on Aken at the river so long ago? She asked him, her breath becoming foggy as she began to start to breathe ice. I can do that again.

Bast remembered back when Leilani had fought Aken. He wasn't able to fight that day. Watching her dominate him so easily is what attracted him to her in the first place, despite almost attacking Leilani when he first met her and she had a broken wing. Bast stepped toward the stranger, another bolt firing from his jaws. Do what you think you can.. he replied before stepping closer to it again, preparing another bolt deep in his throat.

Onyx's eyes widened. "OOOOOOOOOHHH!! OOOHHH!! DO YOU THINK COULD I MOVE THE WHOLE WORLD SOMEDAY? IT WOULD BE FUN!" she giggled.

Duanne frowned again. "I'm gonna leave now..."
"OH NO YOU DON'T!" Amicheahika squeeked, and hopped onto his head. "You're helping us take care of her."

(Did you guys forget about Amicheahika, the magic friend/minion of Onyx? That can heal any wound once a day, even death? I had for a while XD)

"Ummm... Just out to scout around. See what's up. I thought I heard something." he lied. Aken was against Bast now, right? "Uhhhh... I think it came from Bast's forest somewhere... we shadow dragons have great hearing!"

Onyx started playing around with the ribcage of the deer. Most of the meat was gone, and she had decided it was fun to toss it in the air with her horns.

"There's nothing there!" The red goblin reappeared from behind Query's current form.
"Just a whole bunch of crystals. We mined a few. Enough to add on about, I don't know, an entire kingdom to your horde."
Query paused and turned to look at Verge and the goblin, and muttered "Not now. It's my 'bad guy' moment."
"Must you? I mean, remember that time you went up against that Ancient? Bad guy moments apparently have you stomped bad." Verge said snappishly. He wasn't exactly happy about his master's decision to stand and fight.
"Hot damn. You're right." Query replied, then turned back to Leilani, catching sight of Bast above. "You guys should probably run first. I'll catch up."
"You sure about that?" Verge asked, as the red goblin fled first.
"Who the heck do you think I am?"
"True." Verge nodded and left after the red goblin.

"Come at me, all ye who challenge me." Query roared, as its body began to change once more, into a slightly smaller, more flexible wyvern, an olive green one.

(Yeaaaaaahhh. You should, at this point, realize that Query isn't taking anything seriously other than the safety of her subjects. Johnny-

Leilani started searching internally, trying to summon up her blue side was hard. It was always held in a secret part of her heart. But now, it was... weird.... Her scales rattled, blue flooding into the pigment, making her seem like a whole other dragon. She roared, severing the connection with Bast so he didn't hear her gruesome thoughts, and breathed ice upon the fleeing figures, trapping them.

"It would seem we are trapped." The red goblin observed.
"Well, that's nice of you to be horribly obvious. I mean, that ice blocking our way isn't at all sealing our way of exit, is it?" Verge pointed at the ice, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
Query cursed. Damn them to the pits of hell and back. She turned away from Leilani and sped towards Verge and the goblin instead, slamming herself into the ice that blocked the way. The ice shattered, leaving Query to soar around the sky for a bit. Then she dropped.

"That didn't look good." The goblin raced to the side of the mountain.
"One more obvious observation out of you, and I will cut you across like the dog you are." Verge followed closely behind. He peered over the edge. "Damn that stupid dragon. We're going down, Xelon."
"Jump off this cliff? That's stu-"
"To hell I go." Verge slung the sack around his shoulder and leapt off.
"What-" Xelon turned and caught sight of the still furious blue dragon. He turned back and looked down again. Between breaking all his bones in his body, and being nom'd on my a dragon....

He chose the former. "Damn my loyalty to that damn dragon." He muttered as he leapt off the cliff.

After two minutes of hitting about thirty-seven branches and twigs of trees that had grown upon the edge of the mountain later, Xelon stumbled out of his fall, bruised, but otherwise okay. Verge had already propped up Query, now in her human form, on his back, and was muttering pretty dark curses, as he tried to get her into a more comfortable position. Xelon noticed there was much difficulty, though, and realized why when he caught sight of Verge's left arm, which hung crazily on one side. He had broken it. Badly.

"Xelon, once you're done gawking, how about you help me push Query up a bit. She's slipping." Verge grumbled.
"Your arm-"
"I'll be fine. Hurry the hell up. They'll be looking for us." Xelon did as he was told and Verge started walking in a general direction towards the nearest village.
Xelon picked up the two sacks of crystals, one of which Verge had left behind and hurried after Verge.

Query was odd, yes, but she had been said to have an aura around her, that made anyone who was on her side willing to follow her into the pits of hell, raise hell in it, and then climb back up. Verge would be the most insane to actually survive the whole ordeal if she did. Xelon, just a new recruit, could see why Verge trusted her so much, and why all the other goblins could not bear to leave her leadership.

(That's an awesome post but Bast's den is at the base of a mountain I believe or it simply goes underground. Aken is the one with the high den on a volcano)

Bast followed out of the cave, watching as they disappeared. That was easy, easier than he thought it would have been.

The blue was still there, and despite them fleeing, Leilani wanted to tear them apart. At least the little goblins. So she ran out after them, spread her wings and took off in pursuit. Paying no mind to the pain that shot through her at doing so.

A brutish mentallity settled in on Leilani, and she sped beyond what she normally would have. It hurt her, terribly, her wings burned like fire and her body swam in the pain. But it made her stronger as she chased after them. "DIE!" She roared, seeing them up ahead.

Aken walked in circles at the top of the volcano, watching the ground with each step. Bast looked around, standing by the river.
