The Shadow Forest

[Lunar]

A huge forest that goes on for miles. Most of the forest is dark from the trees being so close together, only allowing some rays of sunlight through. The shadow forest is several miles north of the Goldenblood territory.

[Lunar]

Lunar wandered through the forest, her head hung low. Her paws were hurting from walking for so long. The shadows of the dark forest and the setting sun made Lunar blend in with the surroundings. Finally giving in, she found a spot under a tree to lay down and rest her paws.

[Echo Dreamer]

Dinae was walking through the forest as usual when he came across another wolf. He never saw any other wolves out here. He crouched down low and circled behind her. He quietly padded up behind her and tapped her on her back, stepping back a bit.

[Lunar]

Lunar's eyes widened, startled and suddenly scared, as she jumped back to her paws and spun away from the stranger. Her black fur bristled up along her back as she let out a low warning growl to the stranger as she turned to face him.

[Echo Dreamer]

Dinae gave a scowl. He looked her up and down for a second. "I want to know what you are doing here."

[Lunar]

Lunar examined the stranger for a moment, unsure. "I'm just passing through," she answered calmly, the fur along her back smoothing down once more.

[Echo Dreamer]

He continued to study her. "State your name and pack please." If she is from my pack she is as good as dead. His muscles tensed in anticipation.

[Lunar]

"My name is Lunar Eclipse. I'm from the Goldenbloods pack," she answered calmly.

[Echo Dreamer]

Dinae sighed and relaxed. "Then you are of no concern to me." He stepped out where there was a ray of light shining through, showing his face more. "You may pass through if you wish."

[Lunar]

Lunar tilted her head slightly to the side with curiosity when she saw what the stranger looked like. "Do you live here?"

[Echo Dreamer]

"I do." Dinae stated.

[Lunar]

"What's your name?" Lunar couldn't help her new curiosity of this stranger.

[Echo Dreamer]

"My name is Dinae. Why the sudden curiosity in me?" he asked suspision growing.

[Lunar]

Lunar's ears fell back again and she shook her head. "Oh, nothing. Sorry. I'll be on my way." She turned away and started walking off, her paws beginning to ache once again in protest.

[Echo Dreamer]

Dinae sighed. She was a female and she did look as if she had been traveling for a while. "Wait..." he managed to get out.

[Lunar]

Lunar paused and looked back at Dinae, unsure. "Yes...?"

[Echo Dreamer]

Dinae sighed again. I can't believe I am doing this. "Do you need a place to stay? I have a den not far from here and you look exhausted."

[Lunar]

A small smile tugged at the corners of her mouth, but she easily held it back. "I wouldn't want to intrude..."

[Echo Dreamer]

"Please, I insist. I know you want need to rest sometime and you look like you just came out of a fight with a bear. I say now would be as good of a time as ever." Dinae urged.

[Lunar]

"Well... Alright then." Lunar turned back around and walked over to Dinae. "Thank you."

[Echo Dreamer]

Dinae smiled for the first time in a long time. "It's my pleasure. Come, this way." He began waking towards his den.

[Lunar]

Lunar relaxed a bit. This wolf didn't seem so bad. She followed after him quickly, not wanting to fall behind.

[Echo Dreamer]

They reached his den in about 5 minutes. "Well this is it. It is big enough for three maybe four wolves so we should both be relatively comfortable."

[Lunar]

Lunar hesitated before stepping into the den and looking around. She nodded from what he said and found a spot toward the back of the den, laid down, and rest her head between her two front paws. "Thank you, again."

"Oh! I forgot to ask. Are you hungry?" he asked.
