As Lunar was walking down the street, she noticed there was even more police in front of Khora and Raffiel's house. She was rather curious as to what happened. She took a deep breath to gather up her courage. From being friends with Nina, she usually avoided the cops because of Nina always getting in trouble with the law. Lunar let out the breath slowly and started walking up toward their apartment to maybe overhear something about what had happened.

Raffiel ran outside his backyard to the front. That's when he saw Lunar and nearly fell over with fear. He had the biggest crush possible on her and wanted to crawl under a rock. But with that bravado, he put on a fake smile and walked over. "Hey Luney. What're you doing here? I thought you lived that way." He pointed in the wrong direction showing how much he knew.

Lunar turned and saw Raffiel. Her face flushed with embarrassment. She wasn't planning on being seen. Then she smiled and said, "No actually I live that way." And pointed in the other direction. Then she asked, "What happened here? Is everything, ok?"

Raffiel shrugged, "Eh I don't know. There was a robbery earlier, in the crazy lady with like A THOUSAND CATS," He moved his hands in emphasis. "And it turns out they robbed are place to. Maybe even the guy who lives all the way upstairs's apartment to." He shrugged, "But now there is this guy who I think my ma likes." He made a funny face like Khora liking a guy was weird. "And I think he likes her back." His face grew weirder, like the second thought was supremely strange.

Lunar laughed a little, "Well, that's good." Then she quickly corrected, "I mean, your mom meeting a guy is good. Not the robbery part."

Raffiel shrugged, "I don't know. I better not get a step-dad. Its weird for some people that I'm adopted, and well..." He pulled a picture of him and Khora out of his pocket. It was from when he was adopted, young and five. He was rather sweet back then, with little tufts of grey hair and big green eyes like he had now. Khora was younger then to, but he couldn't tell the age. Maybe sixteen? Then he wonders, Wait... how did she adopt me? Shaking that thought aside he pointed at Khora. "I'm white and she's black." He simply said, "And its weird when people just assume I'm adopted. I know we look nothing alike but my father could have been black. Or mother. Or they're both white..." Raffiel had never thought about what his actual parents before. He hated rambling about it in front of Lunar to. "Sorry..." He scratched the back of his neck. "I... I just made you uncomfortable didn't I?"

Lunar shook her head, "No. Not at all. I mean, Holo and I are adopted. We look nothing alike and are twins." Lunar smiled, "I understand completely."

(I just realized, as humans. His mother would be white and father Black. RAFFIEL IS HALF BLACK! >.< I need to think of my characters more. He seems wrong being pale now. Maybe a nice brown.... or tan... Crap now I'm the rambling one!)

Raffiel looked at her. "Oh yeah that's right..."

Lunar, still holding the little ice cream which she wasn't even sure she would finish, looked around awkwardly. She was feeling a bit uncomfortable because of all the cop cars. She didn't plan at all to be seen. Especially to be seen by Raffiel. "So..." She mumbled awkwardly.

"I didn't realize the ice cream truck was in the neighborhood. Do you want to get another cone?" He asked her, a rattling of change in his pocket.

Lunar took this as a quick and easy opportunity to get away from all the police. But, she didn't want to lie to him. So she answered, "Actually, I'm not even sure why I got this ice cream in the first place." She didn't want to ditch him or something so she offered, "Want to go for a walk?"

He smiled, "Totally!" Raffiel's heart was fluttering fast and rapidly. He had never thought he would be spending so much time with her, but didn't want to refuse.

Lunar smiled as her excuse to leave worked without making her seem like a jerk. She walked to the nearest dumpster on the street and dropped the cone inside. Lunar looked back at Raffiel and said hurriedly while waving for him to follow, "Ok, lets go."

Lunar didn't really know how to talk to Raffiel. She never really had a real conversation with him before. so she changed the subject to something more about him. "So, how much did the thief's take?"

He made a large gesture with his hands. "Everything! Except the beds, ma's hidden stash of money and the counters. Oh and a few jars of food survived."

Lunar's eyes widened, "Everything? Wow." She put her hands in her pockets as she looked over at him and asked more questions, "Did they take furniture? Like couches and tables and stuff?"

Raffiel nodded, and imitated Khora's unhappy face. "Ma keeps making this 'cuz she can't sit the cops down. We ain't got nothing for them to sit on except the floor! Not even carpet!" It was true, they had taken their nice brown carpet. It was a really soft one, so Khora wouldn't have minded saying they could sit there if it had survived as well."

"Wow." Then, after a moment she giggled and said, "Can you imagine trying to sneak out of a house with a couch on your back? That'd be funny to see."

Raffiel shook his head. "I think it was a team! Probably with some heavy lifters with em to." He made another gesture to emphasize the size of the men he imagined.

"So, a whole team of big, strong, muscly guys came to your apartment and stole practically everything without being seen... That's going to make a nice story in the newspaper." Lunar stated.

Raffiel made a funny face at her, and slapped his wrist. "Ow..." He grumbled and shook it fiercely and then looked at her. Hoping she didn't think him weird.

"I er... well..." He trailed off and looked for something to get him out of this. "LOOK A DOG!" He exclaimed, and ran over to where one was laying in the grass. It didn't run, no it was hurt. "Oh man..."
