Spots exploded in the she-wolf's vision and she nearly toppled from the impact. But she was a stubborn, stubborn girl, and instead put as much strength in her legs as she possibly to match the much larger male. "You know, my parents used to always call me hard headed!" The laugh was slightly off sounding, her vision still swimming. "Let's see if yours is just as hard!"

"You do have a hard head. Maybe it's thanks to that thick skull of yours." Dimas taunted, frowning as he was pushed back about an inch.

(Wow. I suck at insults. And fight scenes. Sorry. Also, "Let's see if yours is just as hard!" Hehehe... lol!

Windrunner stumbled close to the stream to get a drink of water before continuing her search for pain herbs. As she neared the stream though she slipped on some wet soil and plunged into the cold waters yelping.

"What was that?" Korren asked, looking up at the sound of someone splashing into the stream and peered closely just enough to see a small she-pup tumbling through the cold waters. "Dung!" He shouted before his hind legs launched him into the waters that rose to his head and snaked himself down to the pup that was tumbling downstream. Teeth digging into a small scruff, Korren wrenched his head back up to bring a soaked pup just above the current and trudged out, soaked to the bone. "You alright?" He panted, placing the pup upon the ground.

Raffina fought against Dimas's skull until her feet lost their traction and she found herself slumped on the ground and gave a huff as her head spun. "Dung."

Windrunner coughed upon resurfacing from the stream, she looked up at her savior giving a weak smile and small wag of her tail. She said calmly, and quietly "I'm alright." She gave a shiver from the cold and scooted towards Korren leaning gently against his leg, "Thank you."

Dimas began grinning like the idiot he was, and pranced around Raffina. "Told you I'd win~" he said in a sing-songy voice.

Korren gave a sigh of relief at her words, and licked the pups fur the wrong way to try to get her warmed up. "If you come back with me to my den, I can get some herbs for you to help." He said gently to the shaking pup.

Raffina gave a snort, "You're not something special, just have a harder head. Like most guys!" She replied, her vision finally leveling.

Windrunner backed away from the other wolf nervously, "why would you help a stranger?" she asked. "Why would you take in a stray pup?" She crouched down looking around for any other wolves, and noticing only one.

"Sure." Raffina sarcastically grinned up at the male wolf she had easily confused. "Take it how you wish to take it."

"It's what I do." Korren cooed gently, noticing instantly her change of attitude. "Have you ever heard of the Healer of the South?" The question was open and sweet.

Windrunners ears shifted at the tone of his voice, "I have." She said quietly, backing up just a little more, she then sat up and lifted her injured paw off the ground slightly to let it rest.

Lithos looked at the pup, spotting the two from a distance. He had been looking around for the herbs, so he hadn't noticed Korren walking off. He started heading over to them slowly.

"Well, I am that Healer of the South." Korren said gently. "It is what I do, help people. Typically there are only three things I ask in return for the healing. One, don't come back and kill me. Two, don't do the exact same thing that hurt you again. That would just be stupid. And three, come back if you need help again or someone you know does." He assured her. "And I can see your paw is hurt to. May I see it?"

Windrunner looked at Korren, chuckling slightly at his three request. When she heard him ask to see her paw she stiffened, "My paw is just fine, it needs some rest, that's all." She slowly took a step back from the older wolf and the other approaching wolf.

Sighing slightly as she drifted further back, Korren was well aware that trying to force himself on her to heal here would only be counter-productive. "Alright, if you say so. My den is always open though." He flicked an ear in the proper direction. "Just that aways, there might be a few other wolves clinging around however, don't be scared off however. They're not half back."

Windrunner looked at Korren for a while before speaking, "So... what are you looking for?" She asked in her own warm and welcoming voice. "I know some stuff about this area." She added some energy moving into her voice.

"Coltsfoot, feverfew and horsetail mostly." Korren replied, looking around the stream bed to see if he could identify them from this distance. The warm tone she used gave hope to the healer, but he wasn't going to push anything.

Windrunner paused at the names, it has been a long time since she has had to remember their names. "There should be some feverfew and horsetail about a minute downstream, I don't know where to get any coltsfoot." She replied disappointed in her own lack of knowledge of the location of the herbs. "Hope you find all the herbs you need!" She said a gentle smile spreading across her face.

"I must admit I am impressed." Korren said with a chuckle. "Do you know any other herbs that might be around? Or even those that might not be?" He asked the young, still damp pup.

Windrunner looked up at Korren, "I know the location of some other herbs, but there are other creatures that eat these herbs as well, if we take to many we might cause issues in the future." She looked down at her paws before continuing, "I can show you the locations of some herbs, but I wont show you others, so that the creatures in this area will still have their needs filled."

Instantly a smile broke out across Korren's face. "You are quite the intelligent little pup. Where are you parents? They must be proud of you."

Windrunner's smile broke at when Korren asked her about her parents, "My," She paused, taking a breath and holding back a tear, forcing a smile back onto her face, "My, parents are practicing their herbalism with the Lunar Mother now." She said, her voice shaking slightly, looking up into the sky, wondering if her parents were watching now.

"Lunar mother...?" Korren squinted as he thought about what the little she-wolf might mean, but then it dawned on him with the way she looked up. "Ah, they hunt with the spirits now." He said in a hushed tone as he understood. "They are always with you young one, in your heart."

"Do you really think that?" She asked, her own voice taking a hushed and broken tone. Her ears lifting slightly, and ear tail wagging gently.

"Yes, I do." Korren replied gently, looking at the little pup closely. "I've lost all of my family, they hunt with the spirits and gather in my heart. I can hear them in the wind and smell them in the rain. They're always with you, it is just up to you where you see them."
