"Descriptive aren't you?" Snorted Nix with a slight laugh. "And you know, I know a lot of places." She said more seriously. "Des and I did a lot of traveling after we left home, and later met Korren in the Desert Woods to the south." Blue eyes narrowed with memories. "I've been in the eastern mountains, the desert woods, the desert itself though I'll admit I've never crossed it, the salt lakes to the northwest and the marshes and plains out west. And many lands beyond that."

"Woah... That's a lot of cool places. What's a salt lake? I've heard of just a plain lake. Are salts something that lives in the water? Like a fish or something?" Rainbow asks, her jaw hanging partly open. "Do salts taste good?"

"I'll just assume you're joking still." She replied. 'Well, there are some not too terribly far from here, maybe once these rascals can move around on their own and don't need milk I can take you." Nix offered. "And salt, well, it tastes kinda sour but good, though too much is nasty. It's almost addictive." She tried to explain, finding it difficult and scrunching up her face slightly with thought.

"Hehe, yeah... Totally a joke." Rainbow murmured. "I've only ever heard of plants and stuff being addictive. Never water. But I have heard of water that makes you crazy if you drink too much."

Nodding her head in agreement, Nix barked. "Yes, that would be salt water. Salt is actually a powder or mineral, and it's white and doesn't dissolve in things much so it makes the water taste like it and you can feel the grit. Drinking salt water is really bad for you."

The she-wolf smiled. "Then let's hope these pups grow up quick then." Nix swept her gaze over the rainbow colored she-wolf.

Rainbow blushes a bit. "You'd really rather go on a journey with me for a while than stick around these cuties?" she asked joikingly. "I must be cuter than I thought. But of course, compared to you I'm only a moth, and you a butterfly."

Nix tilted her ears forward, and then grinned slyly at the she-wolf. "If I didn't promise their father I might just run off with you right now." She whispered, and then pulled her head back with a wink. "My little moth?" Toyed the black and red she-wolf. "No, that's not very fitting. You're more of a peacock."

Laughing slightly the she-wolf shook her head. "It's one of the most beautiful birds ever to exist. It's feathers are like a rainbow, and they're huge too, graceful and stunning. Only bird out there I won't hunt." She tried to explain.

"Hmmm... That does sound a bit familiar." Rainbow said. "But why give it such a silly name? It sounds like something the souldn't be said in front of pups or parents."

Instantly the black and red she-wolf was struggling to contain her laughter for fear of awakening the pups at her side. "You truly are hilarious!" She said.

"No, you're not." Agreed the she-wolf. "But now I'm gonna call you that, peacock." She lay there slightly, grinning, unaware of the jealous gaze coming from a sandy furred wolf.

A low, warning type growl came from the she-wolf until Rainbow changed her mind on the nickname, "Smart move." She smiled toothily.

With a sudden spiral in her dreams Windrunner kicked her legs and woke up almost dashing off, had it not been for her leg she would have. A sudden flash of the world, tripping over her leg, leading to her ending up with her muzzle buried into the ground. She gives a slight whine as all the pain registers.

"If you say so..." Rainbow says, going back to Nix's side. All the commotion had woken Abbot and she greeted him.

"It's nice to see that the pups have not one, but TWO angels looking out for them." he says. "Thanks again."

"Don't thank me, Butterfly did all the work." Rainbow said.

"Butterfly...?" Abbot asked, his brow raising slightly in confusion.

"Errr... I meant Nix." Rainbow mumbled.

Dimas starts trying to measure how high he can jump. He doesn't get above the five lowest branches on a nearby tree with a rather short trunk.
