(Bump? Read some of the first posts on this topic... Decided I am probably going to give up on bringing Asku and his kids as well as Kashtin a Zephyr into this. I'll just stick with the 7 I already have here.)

Dimas helped Raffina to her feet as best he could, and chuckled. "All of that was tiring, but fun! I deem you worthy of my beloved baby brother, because, as we all know, I was obviously born first! You hungry? We could eat while we wait for him."

Abbot had dozed off in his place under a large tree that wasn't too far from Nix and the pups.
The puppies had also fallen asleep a while after they had finished suckling.

Rainbow was getting a tad bit frustrated chasing a surprisingly fast hare. She had only started chasing it as a game, but now she was sure she'd be very pleased to have it dead.

Windrunner looked around once more at all the wolves around her, then quietly finished off the food in front of her. She looked at the splint around her leg, hendering her ability to move yet helping her every second it does. 'Medicine, a true miracle in itself.' "So... Um... Is there anything I could help with?" She paused nervous, "Maybe sort some herbs, or something?" She smiled weakly, already presuming a certain answer, but she could hope to be of some assistance.

Shaking his head softly, Korren responded to the pup. "Not now I'm afraid, you're going to have to avoid moving for a while, it would be best if you just rested." He replied to the little pup.

Des looked up to spot the rainbow she-wolf running after hare, and with a waggle of his rump was joining in without warning. "I'll cut it off!" He offered with an energetic cry.

Raffina pulled her ears back at his comment. "Worthy of your baby brother?" She asked. "I- What- Uh- I'm just going to go!" She stammered, padding away from the male wolf who was a little too crazy for her liking, and walking to a tree off to the side.

Windrunner nodded, then gently laid her head down watching the other wolves take part in their own daily lives. Though she hated sitting still it was something she was going to have to get used to.

"Okay..." Dimas said, his brow furrowing at what he thought of as strange behavior. 'Maybe I did something strange... I wonder what it was.' he thought as he tore off a snack-size piece of meat from the first carcass of the pack.

(Sorry I made Dimas sound a bit... Creepy... I only realized it after I reread my post. >_<)

Rainbow smiled at Des when he offered to help. "Thanks! I'm getting exhausted. More of a sprinter."

(Just a little bit.)

"Alright!" Barked Des happily, snapping forward to finish the hare that Rainbow just didn't seem to catch. He help up the limp prey, tail wagging happily behind him. "Here you are." He said, padding over to the she-wolf and putting it down at her paws.

Nix checked each pup over, and once pleased they were all asleep, got to her paws shakily. She'd felt like she'd been laying down for months. Walking over towards the others, she gave the new pup a kind grin before approaching Rainbow and Des.

"You're quite the hunter. I bet you get all the girls." Rainbow said jokingly, winking at Des. "I'll split it with you, since you caught it."

"Not all the girls." Replied Des with a wink. "Just the good ones." And then he turned to greet the approaching Nix. "Hey there, did those pups finally suck you dry?" He teased.
Snarling lightly at his words, Nix just rolled her eyes. "Rainbow right?" Asked the she-wolf, refusing to verbally address the brute who could so easily get on her nerves.

"Ummm... Yeah. My parents were a bit eccentric..." she said as calmly as she could while her mind screaming 'SHE'S ACTUALLY TALKING TO ME!? NO WAY! WHAT DO I DO!?' "Your name was nnn... Nis?" 'Please don't hate me, by the ancestors, her name isn't Nis! Why did I say that? I could have just pretented I knew her name! But it was something with a N... Ummm... I can't remember!' "Was that wrong? I'm sorry... Still getting used to remembering all these names." she added hastily.

(That was confusing. Sorry. Lots of mixed up flustered thoughts.)

(Good lord that was funny. I suggest using italics for thoughts though, makes it easier to understand.)

"Nix." She clarified with a laugh. "My name is Nix. Rainbow you're doing just fine. I honestly don't know the names of all the pups I just spent hours nursing."

Windrunner gave a huff before shifting into a comfortable position, being careful of her leg, and falling asleep.

Rainbow laughed nervously. "Let me guess. Pup 1, pup 2, pup 3, and pup 4?" (lol Wolfquest reference)

(ITALICS! Why didn't I think of that? *facedesk* Five long years. FIVE! And all this time I never even thought of that! Wow, I'm dumber than I thought.)

"I might just address them that way until I learn all their names." The she-wolf laughed, blue eyes sparkling lightly. She hadn't felt this comfortable around others for quite some time. Perhaps she really had been in need of a pack.

Though Windrunner's full dream cycle had not yet begun she already felt the terrors of the nightmares that followed her. Her body instinctively kicked a leg out as if trying to ward off some form of evil.

Nix gave a snort of amusement. "I'm pretty sure you can handle it." She replied, tail wagging ever so friendly behind her. "At the rate you're going you'll be the best jokester in the whole pack."

Windrunner shuddered slightly, though she was not cold the feelings put into her by her dream seemed to demand it, and they took control over her own wishes.

Abbot's pups kind of half wake up and start to try exploring, though they don't find much beyond the usual of warmth and fur and dirt.

"Well, I'll make sure Korren has one made up just for you my dear." Smiled Nix, tail sweeping back and forth behind her. She truthfully hadn't laughed so much in such a long while. "Come on, how about you come see to Abbots pups with me? Maybe they're old enough to hear some good jokes." Offered the black and red she-wolf, stepping already towards the pups that seemed to be waking some.

Joy gleaming in blue eyes, Nix led the way over to where the wolf's pups had started exploring the small plot of land around them. She laid down, and then nuzzled the two furthest back towards her and casted an expectant look to Rainbow.

Rainbow manages to catch the other two and bring them back to Nix. "Here you are," She says as she sets them down. "Two fluffballs, as ordered."

Abbot is snoozing in some nearby shade. He mumbles something in his sleep and rolls over.

Nix licked the four pups over until they were all curled up against her belly, smiling gently at the four fluffballs. "So where are you from Rainbow?" She asked idly as she watched them wriggle about.

"Oh, ummm... You probably wouldn't know the place..." Rainbow mumbled, sitting down next the she-wolf. "It's over in that general direction." she adds, waving her paw northeast.
